Kim Levey serves as the Executive Director, Educational Effectiveness and Accreditation at National University, a private non-profit institution in La Jolla, California. In this capacity, Kim oversees the university’s assessment system, including outcomes-based assessment and program review, supporting faculty and Deans through collaboration and developing and deploying professional development opportunities. In addition, Kim works with university administration and school leadership on regional and specialized accreditation efforts at the university, school, and program levels.
Kim is an adjunct faculty member at National University where she co-developed curriculum in Assessment Literacy as part of the Master of Science in Advanced Teaching Practices. She also teaches this coursework in the Sanford College of Education and has previously taught public policy in the School of Professional Studies. She has presented at the national Council on the Accreditation of Educator Preparation Conference and the WASC Senior College and Accrediting Commission Academic Resource Conference on higher education assessment and accreditation topics. Most recently, Kim has presented at the International Academic Conference of Exploring Leadership and Learning Theories in Asia Conference and the Association for the Society of Cuban Economy Conference.
Kim was previously a Program Officer for the National University Community Research Institute, and prior to National University she worked in the advertising, non-profit, and financial services industries. She currently serves as a board member for Banding Together, a non-profit organization providing music therapy services to people with special needs.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton, a Master of Public Administration from National University, and is currently a doctoral student at Pepperdine University where she is studying organizational leadership
